Stewkley Local History Group respects individual privacy.
When visiting this site we will not collect or store any of your personal information.

Where information is placed on this site, references made to any living person's name is only made after having sought their permission, members of the group and contributors to the historical information may be identified using a part of their name, or nick-name. Researchers who are not members of the SLHG may make contact via the "Contact Us" page where messages, e-mails and correspondance will be passed to the SLHG member in due course. SHLG members can identify themselves as being a researcher or author of work by means of a pseudonym.

"Personally I find it difficult choosing a pseudonym, having got used to providing a ‘user name’ for Skype, a log on name for the bulletin board, it seems to get more difficult choosing a different name for oneself each time. Some people I know use the same pseudonym for each site, but I am told that in this age of identity fraud that it is not a good idea.
I don't really see myself as ‘TinyTim’, ‘TheBlondBombshell’ is too long, and what ever could ‘lolo44xx’ really mean ?
I don't have a nickname, my children seem to phone me before I can finish punching my mobile phone's keys the right number of times to finish a short text message.
What should I do ?"
